You know, Gosh, I actually had a whole post typed up in response to the first time you put this link up, but I deleted it because it was so boring to me. Since you have asked a second time, I guess you deserve to be bored.
First off, let me give a little backstory: Once upon a time, I attended an AIDS benefit ball, at which I slow danced with the keynote speaker, who was not only a man, not only gay, but also had AIDS. So, yeah, I have slow danced with an HIV positive gay man. There's other little anecdotes I could relate, but I don't feel the need. I don't have anything to prove to myself, and nobody else's opinion (or at least a very short list of people which you're not on) matters to me on this subject.
I don't hate gay people.
I also don't give two shits about protecting their feelings. This is in keeping with my ongoing theme of not giving a shit about protecting anybody's feelings, because, quite frankly, fuck them.
Another piece of backstory: I once went to CU Boulder to watch Ann Coulter speak. I went as much to see the dipshits in the crowd as I did to see her, and they didn't disappoint. I know what Ann Coulter is about, and I enjoy watching her debase herself, because I know that in a few seconds, some ultra-liberal is going to come along and outdo her ten times over.
Ann Coulter is a professional outragemonger. I don't see why I should care what she says about fags. I roll my eyes at it, take some joy in the way it antagonizes the PC police (and the left in general), and move on with my life. I don't care what her defense is, what some random dude's critique on her is, etc. It's all ridiculous. People who think they need to deconstruct Ann Coulter, and de-legitimize her, are idiots. I don't need to see what they have to say, because they're automatically idiots for even taking that trip.
Ann Coulter earns a sizeable income by getting people to talk about her. If you don't like her, and you're talking about her, then you're a fucking moron.
