"I made an honest mistake which I deeply regret," Berger told reporters outside his office last night. "I dealt with this issue in October 2003 fully and completely. Everything that I have done all along in this process has been for the purpose of aiding and supporting the work of the 9/11 commission, and any suggestion to the contrary is simply absolutely wrong."

Sandy made an honest mistake.  He accidentally brought some highly classified documents home with him, and then shredded them.  We all make mistakes, right?  He probably just combined them into a stack of his own papers, tossed it all in his briefcase, and it ended up at home, right?  No.

“President Clinton's national security adviser removed classified documents from the National Archives, hid them under a construction trailer and later tried to find the trash collector to retrieve them, the agency's internal watchdog said Wednesday.”

You have got to be fucking kidding me.  How does hiding documents under a construction trailer aid and support the 9/11 commission?  How does destroying those same documents aid and support?

On how many levels is this completely scandalous?  Not only did this guy steal and destroy highly classified documents, he left them unattended in a public place as part of his plot.  I don't care what your political affiliation is.  If you can look at this story, at the muted coverage it's getting in the mainstream media, and not recognize that Democrats in general, and the Clinton administration in particular, are treated with totally different rules than everyone else, then you are an intellectually dishonest retard.

Remember the context that all this occurs in.  Sandy Berger is preparing for Clinton's testimony in front of the 9-11 Commission.  Not only does Clinton get Jamie Gorelick on the panel, but he's got Berger going and “editing” classified documents relevant to the situation.  The Democrats put their own people, the people most responsible for the failures of 9-11 on the panel to determine what went wrong.  But even that's not enough to mask their failures.  They then have to send one of their former NSAs in to destroy highly classified documents.  It's not enough to rig the jury.  They have to destroy evidence too.  And it's all obvious, and out there to see.  The MSM just isn't interested.
