So, MSNBC decided to rule on who the best and worst TV news anchors are.

The best?  Well, NBC, CBS and ABC are all represented here.  Oh, and, of course, Comedy Central.  Yeah, that's right, Jon Stewart is one of the best TV news anchors.  Why?

Because he's the only news anchor we actually trust. If someone such as Bill Clinton or George W. Bush says something that contradicts an earlier statement, he'll not only call the person on it but show the clip in which the contradict took place.

That's charming.  You can trust him.  He's totally non-partisan, and he's an equal opportunity offender, when it comes to calling out the politicians.  Totally!  I mean, you can count on him to go after anybody, from the center right, to the middle right, even the far right!  No punches are pulled!

And who are the worst TV news anchors?  Well, surprise of surprises, FOX's Shepard Smith makes the list.

So, that's the media on the media.  All the major left leaning networks have some great anchors at them, and nothing to complain about.  Heck, even somebody who's not actually a news anchor is still a great news anchor, mainly because he's a rabid partisan for the left.  And then FOX, the major right leaning network, has no good anchors, and one bad one.

I love the MSM.  It's like one big left leaning circle jerk, where everyone just sits there and frowns cause they can't get excited with FOX in the room.

You're taking this WAY too seriously, Jack. Read it again: it's a light-hearted fluff piece.

The top "worst" anchor is from CNN Headline News.

And why don't they like Shep Smith? "Because although we have no problem with his anchoring skills per se, his perfectly sculpted eyebrows and overly made-up look just freaks us out. Plus, he owes us money."

(Not to mention the slum-stereotyping crack he made in his segment on J-Lo.)

Ease up.

I think you mistake my tone. This post is me chuckling at the MSM.

I see the link "best and worst anchors." First thing that comes into my head "I'm betting none of the best are from FOX." Voila.

It's a fluff piece, sure, designed to give it's readership a lighthearted chuckle. Only, for me, that chuckle isn't with the MSM, it's at the MSM.

They're at a stage where Jon Stewart is "their" most trusted anchor. That's not funny?

And so continues the off topic posts by people who think I'm Bush's spokesman, or something.

That's an odd article. The author seems to think that Americans are cool with being touched, while Germans are not. I think this guy was just irritating people by touching them his whole lives, then when he went to Germany, the Germans said "I don't know if they do that in America, but we don't do that here." Like, Americans have personal space, as much as anybody if not more. You don't get in it. Touching people is not an "American thing."

The Chinese, now they'll get up in your face like it's nothing. I've flown on Chinese airlines, and been on Chinese busses, and they just don't care. They'll lean all over you, and get in your face, all that shit. Hell, men sometimes hold hands in China. Not gay men, just dudes who are pals walking down the street. Gay men, obviously, are not allowed in China.

So, anyway, while I don't disagree with his take on the inappropriateness of Bush's massaging, I also don't know why I'm taking touching lessons from a guy who thinks Americans are big touchers. We're not. I don't like being touched, I find it smarmy and presumptuous.
