A U.N. investigation has concluded that the United States committed acts amounting to torture at Guantanamo Bay, including force-feeding detainees and subjecting them to prolonged solitary confinement, according to a draft report obtained Monday.

Let's be clear what the UN is claiming.  It's suggesting that inmates who are on a hunger strike, who are deliberately endangering their own lives through starvation, are being tortured when we force-feed them in order to maintain their health.  I'll repeat, so it's clear:  preventing somebody from starving to death is torturing them.

I have to ask, what if we were starving the inmates on purpose?  Would that be torture?  Is there anything we can do, besides giving these people bombs and rifles and setting them loose in American cities, that is not torture?

I don't have to take you people seriously anymore.  The UN is a completely irrelevant organization.  They drafted something like 15 resolutions condemning Saddam Hussein, and acted on none of them.  Who cares what they say about Gitmo?
