It goes without saying that I consider the French to be the pinnacle of shitty first world socialism. They're cowardly. They're arrogant. They're lazy and can barely keep an economy running. And, of course, they're huge fucking racists. Racists to the point that huge sections of their population spent several weeks rioting, while the French government tried to pretend it's not because they're a nation full of douchebag racists.
That's the facts. Now, a fun story in the context of France's horribleness.
So when Audrey Pulvar appeared this month as co-presenter of Soir 3, it caused something of a commotion: the 32-year-old journalist from the French Caribbean island of Martinique was the first black newsreader to present the main evening news on a national French TV station.
Really? A commotion? Feel free to move your eyes to the right, and observe the woman there, who is the dreaded Audrey Pulvar. You'll notice that she's fully hot, fully standing next to some sort of goateed gallic homosexual, and only nominally black. That's how huge of racists the French are. It's 2005, they just put their first non-white newsreader on TV, and she basically looks like a pretty white woman with a tan. Good job, France. I hate you people.
We can learn from France, though. Take a look at the queen standing next to her. Notice anything out of place? Remember, he's also a newsreader. That's right. Goatee. American TV news consumers are racist against facial hair. Think of an anchor with facial hair. Of anybody in news with facial hair. Geraldo? Maybe. Ed Bradley? Hey, he's black too...
I can't say this enough: France. You people absolutely suck. I wish you all had ass cancer. I know Ian is visiting you, and even though he's one of the gayest people in America, your entire country will be twenty times more hetero for the duration of his visit. I hope you all cry and cuddle when he leaves.
