Capliss and Silverman have a major hardon for Ward Churchill. They're also lawyers, which is bad news for Chief Running Mouth.
The most recent news, so recent that it appears that none of the idiot news sources have managed to regurgitate it online in a suitably linkable format, is that Ward Churchill is barred from teaching by Colorado State law. In this state, teachers are required to sign an oath to uphold the Constitution. Chief Running Mouth has no such document anywhere in his staff file with CU. According to Capliss and Silverman, it is against Colorado State law to allow Churchill to teach class.
An easy workaround for Churchill would be to simply sign the required oath, and get back to teaching. At that point, one would have to prove that the shit he's talking and teaching is in violation of the Constitution, and I can't imagine anybody taking that challenge on, but there's till the off chance that he'll refuse, and get run out of town based upon that.
A fun question to ask yourself, is how he managed to work all these years without signing that oath. Based on CU's total lack of integrity, one has to assume that he he was simply allowed to violate Colorado law, just because it was that important that he use CU as a pulpit for anti-American hatespeech. These thoughful “progressives” simply weren't going to let laws stand in the way of their civic duty to attack America and foster lunatic negativity.
Of course, maybe CU just lost the fucking document, which isn't all that unlikely, given their total incompetence. But, for now, it's fun to see how many holes there are in the Chief's story, and how his con falls apart when people start to look closely.
