So I've been getting about 10 pieces of spam per day, posted as feedback to my blog. It's fucking infuriating that people think they can harass me into following their cockgobbling links, but that's the reality of the internet these days. So, now I try to figure out how to stop them. Step one in any internet information gathering effort is a WHOIS search. Here's three domains that have been spamming me:

Look them up, and you'll see one thing in common... Somebody called Moniker Online Services is running some sort of spam consortium, selling domain names to people, or possibly just using people's identities, or possibly even just making up random American-ish names, and then having them “host” sites about internet spam bullshit. It looks like the actual sites are hosted in China, which brings in a whole new level of trouble, since the Chinese are totally fucking insane, and not likely to stop spamming me just because I really, really want them to. I think the idea of harassing people into following a link is a very Chinese way of going about stuff.
Based on my experience with GT Alliance, and thus with watching the way Herbalife ropes people in, robs them, and leaves them dead alongside the highway, my guess is that the people listed in the WHOIS searches are actual people who bought into some stupid “make thousands working from home” pitch, and bought a domain name and site from some dipshit in China. Then they bought a list of things to spam, and some time on the bulkmail server, and now they think they're gonna get rich. The real question is how I got on the spam target list, and how Hussain and Ian didn't. Bud says she's getting spammed too, so somehow it relates to vicegrip.net and buddymonkey.com, which is odd, since I think vicegrip.net is registered through Network Solutions, and buddymonkey.com through Dotster.
Regardless, off we go to http://www.moniker.com to look at their fuckface site, and see what's going on. Based on this page, it looks like they're probably spamming blogs in an effort to generate searchable web content that refers back to their customer's bullshit websites. What makes that particularly awesome, is that some stupid fuck paid $250 to get Chinamen to spam my goddamn blog with their bullshit. Or, more accurately, it look like they payed a Floridian, who in turn paid the Chinamen. While I appreciate Florida voting for Bush, I still think they're one of the most ridiculous, fucked up states in the union, and the fact that they're spamming my blog with bullshit doesn't do much to endear them to me any further. So, we're left with this:

While I'd most like to just fill a packing tube with plastique and ten penny nails, and send it to Suite 201, that didn't work out well for Ted Kaczynski in the end. So, instead I'll resort to calling them up and telling them to cut their fucking bullshit. Interestingly enough, I got another spammed comment on my blog during the 15 minutes it took to type this message, which should give some insight into exactly how invasive their bullshit is. Right now the only thing that's stopping me from contacting them and screaming, is the fact that I'm scared to call or email, lest I get my phone number or email address tracked, and added to yet another spam-list. Maybe I should go to a public payphone, and yell from there.
P.S. Look at this shit. Not only are these fucking people assholes, but they're making millions doing it. What a sad world.
