Kevin Sites gives his side of the tape he filmed in Fallujah.  He says about what I'd expect of him, which is comforting to hear, but at the same time, it's expected.  I've heard a lot of people rallying around this Marine, and the more I hear of that, the more I begin to respect Sites' decision.  I even heard a guy call into the liberal talk station and adamantly insist that the Marine was guilty of nothing.  So, to whatever extent people come to the defense of this Marine, to whatever extent they're made to choose between defending our troops, and hugging up on some scumfuck insurgent, I think the outcome is positive.  Certainly this event will have negative implications in the Arab world, but it's never been about them, or their opinion.  It's always been about American resolve and determination, and how much we've got.  If this situation reminds us of the peril and stress our soldiers are under, and makes us take a little gut check, then that's a good thing, I think.
