The quote: “The network said that while it was 'deliberately misled,' it was wrong to go on the air with a story that it could not substantiate.”
Yaaaay! Victimhood is totally awesome! “We were misled! We just parrot anything and everything people tell us, unless it disagrees with our partisan agenda. Can't you see that we're the real victims here, since people used us, against their will to fulfil our parti... Er, I mean, their partisan agendas?”
The fucking punchline, Rather style: “We made a mistake in judgment, and for that I am sorry. It was an error that was made, however, in good faith and in the spirit of trying to carry on a CBS News tradition of investigative reporting without fear or favoritism.”
Holy Merciful Monkeyshit, that's in-fucking-sane Dan Rather. What a complete and total asshole that guy is. I heard him interview Killian's secretary, and lead her along, try to get her to basically rubber stamp his story, as if some 87 year old woman with Democratic leanings is some sort of final authority. This guy has the fucking audacity to claim to be acting in “good faith” and “without favoritism.” That's just insulting, Dan. Am I a fucking retard? Do I not know what “good faith” or “favoritism” mean? Have I not just watched you handle a situation in a fashion that is the very definition of bad faith and favoritism?
You're a douchebag, Rather. And I thank you for it. I thank you for making it blatantly, painfully, humiliatingly obvious just how biased and partisan the big media outlets are, and how totally unapologetic, and in fact self-congratulatory they are for being so. You assholes are doing wrong, and you're being paid for it.
